Young European Entrepreneurs

The second part of our project focusses on the practical preparation for the working world. Today‘s youth grows up with many possibilities for moving and working abroad in Europe without borders and a free labor market. For this reason it is of vital importance to exchange experiences with partners from other countries and share the different education innovations.

Entrepreneurship Game

As a first step to become a successful Young Entrepreneur it is the students‘ task to play the „Circular Economy and Entrepreneurship Game“. The students played this in their respective schools and filmed it and they tried it out in mixed national teams during the project meeting in Lippstadt (11/2022).
The game simulates the processes and regulations of the working world and introduces students to real life processes.

Start-Ups

On the basis of their experience with the Circular Economic Game the students created their own start-ups with a special focus on education and sustainability. They discussed important questions regarding their goals, teams and so on. The results were created collaboratively by using the „book creator“ app. The results were presented to the other teams present and shared with other students working on the project in the respective schools.

Do‘s and Don‘ts of Applying for a Job

Is there a difference between applying for a job in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Finland? Does an applicant have to prepare in a different way for an interview? Do personnel managers pay attention to different kinds of strengths and weaknesses? In between meetings in Lippstadt and Uden the participants tried to find out about this by creating interview questions and conducting these interviews with representatives from local companies, for example during their internships.

One of the important do‘s is to have a professional application photo. The students learned all about the important criteria and had the chance to get their „official“ FLOW photo to put it into the e-portfolio.

FLOW‘s Top Candidate

To prepare for the final meeting everybody worked on their e-portfolios and their curriculum vitae.
The results are amazing! Everyone has the documents ready to apply for a job at one of the start-ups – and, of course, for a job (abroad) in real life!

The teams did great work and after applying to each others‘ companies and conducting the interviews (of course remembering the do‘s and don‘ts!) the whole FLOW team was happy about the results and all the participants were awarded a certificate as well as medal for being FLOW‘s Top Candidate!
